Title every work of art you make:
If I didn't title my paintings and my ShiRRéT carpets, I might forget the themes and the philosophical undercurrent of my life. For 17 years in New York City, I had studios in Hell's Kitchen and below Canal street. I had a studio in Greenport 5 feet from an active LIRR train track.

For many years after 1987 my paintings and etchings were numbered in the series Sublime: --. My graduate thesis was about all the hugely scaled items around us and what ants we are.
I had almost lost my fear of the Sublime but I was still intrigued with the oddness of coincidental phenomena - curious events that I would wonder Why? about.
I 'm still a NY painter although I've lived back in CT 13 years.
